Join us poolside at the lovely Sandford Parks Lido in Cheltenham for this 80s comedy classic. High school senior Ferris (the brilliant Matthew Broderick) throws a sickie with his girlfriend Sloane and best friend Cameron, and adventure ensues as the trio twist and shout their way around Chicago while trying to stay one step ahead of their suspicious principal and Ferris’ envious sister. Legendary director John Hughes (The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Home Alone) is at the top of his game in this fast and funny coming-of-age tale. Save Ferris!

Note: due to local noise regulations, the sound for the film will be broadcast through wireless headphones which will be given to ticket holders on arrival.

Seating Types: Premium Deckchair Seats – deckchairs in premium positions close to the screen. Bring Your Own Seat Adult – age 16 and over, please bring your own low-backed camping chairs, picnic rugs, deckchairs or similar. Bring Your Own Seat Concession – under 16s, students, military and emergency services staff (relevant ID is required on the night)

Food and Drink: enjoy amazing cocktails, prosecco, beer and cider from The Urban Fox, katsu curry, burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, chips and more from Katie’s, and Stimulatte Coffee, barista extraordinaire with amazing hot drinks. You are also welcome to bring your own picnics and soft drinks to the event, but no alcohol is permitted due to licensing rules. No glass is permitted onsite at the Lido, so please bring any drinks in plastic containers only.

Parking: free parking is available from 6.45pm in the Keynsham Road car park immediately outside the Lido.

Other Information: Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The film is rated 12A. Please respect the venue and take your litter home after the screening.

Weather policy: screenings go ahead in all but worst weathers. Only if there’s heavy, prolonged rain or high winds forecast will the screening be postponed or cancelled. No refunds will be given unless the screening is cancelled. Umbrellas are permitted in the screening area until the film is about to begin, but must then be put away so that those behind you can see the screen.
